About the maker
Born and raised in Florence, Italy, the cradle of the Renaissance and art, it was here at a young age that Massimo discovered his passion for painting and fashion garment experimentation.
After studies, he cultivated his passion and talent in his father Giovanni’s textile factory. Massimo studied, experimented and reinvented the traditional processes for fine fabric treatment; often with unconventional techniques. This wonderment to create steered him directly into his flourishing career within the fashion world.
His creative approach combined with technical mastery, allowed Massimo to work with the most important and recognizable Italian and International high fashion brands.
The brand
Massimo’s richest and most fulfilling point in his career was his collaboration with the Maestro Igor Mitoraj, one of the most appreciated artists of the XXI century. With Mitoraj’s supervision, he developed the collection “Wearable Works of Art”, intended for the “Celebrity Fight Night” charity auction hosted by the Andrea Bocelli Foundation.
The extraordinary results of the final products were unexpected and quickly reached a considerable success.
This collaboration represented a real turning point for Massimo and mixed with his passion for creating beautiful pieces have been the defining inspiration for Lasciart to be born.
